Description
A creamy and cheesy Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread that brings warmth and nostalgia to every dinner table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 small chicken breasts
- 1 Italian style loaf
- 2 tablespoons of poultry seasoning (or salt, pepper, garlic powder)
- 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic (or garlic paste)
- 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup of shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Start by cutting the chicken breasts into ½ inch pieces. Place them in a bowl, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of poultry seasoning or a mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a pan over medium heat, cook the seasoned chicken until it’s golden and fully cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Slice your Italian loaf lengthwise in half to create two beautiful pieces of bread.
- In a small bowl, combine 1 stick of melted butter, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley, and 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes. Mix well.
- Spread the butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread. Toast the bread flat side up in a preheated 350°F oven for 5-10 minutes, keeping a close eye to reach your desired golden crispness.
- In the same pan where you cooked the chicken, reduce the heat to medium-low and melt 1/2 stick of butter. Stir in another tablespoon of minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Lower the heat to low and add the heavy cream and 1/4 cup of shredded parmesan cheese. Stir consistently until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Spread half of the prepared Alfredo sauce over the toasted bread. Layer on the cooked chicken, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese and the remaining sauce.
- Back to the oven it goes! Bake at 350°F for another 5 minutes, until the cheeses ooze and meld beautifully.
- Slice the bread into 2-3 inch pieces, serve warm, and enjoy the delightful flavors with loved ones.
