Description
A comforting and creamy dish featuring seared chicken breasts topped with sautéed vegetables, turkey bacon, and Cheddar cheese, perfect for cozy gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup freshly sautéed mushrooms
- 1 cup fresh spinach (optional)
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get things nice and toasty.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the sliced onions in the same skillet until translucent. Add the mushrooms and spinach, cooking until the mushrooms are tender, about 4 minutes.
- Layer the seared chicken breasts in a baking dish side by side. Top each with sautéed vegetables, crumbled turkey bacon, and a generous handful of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley on top for garnish and serve hot. Enjoy!
