Description

A comforting side dish of sweet, buttery, and spiced cinnamon glazed carrots, perfect for any family gathering or weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil and add the baby carrots. Cook until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Drain the carrots and return them to the pan.
  3. Add the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to the pan.
  4. Cook over medium heat until the butter is melted and the caramel sauce forms, about 3-5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  5. Serve warm as a side dish to steak or chicken.

Notes

You can prepare the carrots a few hours in advance and reheat them when it’s time to serve. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
