Description

Tender and juicy smoked turkey breast seasoned with flavorful spices, served with a rich homemade gravy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole turkey breast
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Wood chips for smoking (e.g., hickory or applewood)
  • Turkey drippings (for gravy)
  • Flour (for gravy)
  • Chicken broth (for gravy)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Season the turkey breast generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Place the seasoned turkey breast in the smoker and let it smoke for about 3-4 hours or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Once done, carefully remove the turkey from the smoker and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
  5. For the gravy, collect the drippings from the smoked turkey into a saucepan, add flour, and whisk until golden brown.
  6. Gradually add chicken broth, whisking continuously until thick and glossy.
  7. Serve the sliced turkey breast drizzled with the gravy.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, season the turkey breast the night before. Leftovers can be used in a variety of dishes.
