Description

These Red Velvet Cookies are soft, rich, and filled with creamy white chocolate chunks, making them a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until fully combined.
  3. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  5. Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chunks.
  7. Drop dollops of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are soft.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Dough can be refrigerated overnight.
