Description

A comforting classic with tender ribeye steak, gooey provolone, and caramelized onions in a warm sub roll.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ribeye steak
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 sub rolls
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the ribeye steak thinly against the grain.
  2. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and add garlic.
  3. Add sliced onions and caramelize until golden brown.
  4. Increase the heat and add the sliced ribeye, cooking until browned.
  5. Melt provolone cheese on top of the steak mixture.
  6. Toast the sub rolls in the same skillet until golden.
  7. Assemble the sandwich with the steak and onion mixture; serve hot.
