Description

A cozy and delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese, packed with the fresh flavors of pesto and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough, focaccia, or classic white)
  • 12 tablespoons of pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 slices of cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • Butter or olive oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. Spread a generous layer of pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place cheese slices between the bread, pesto side facing the cheese.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or olive oil, coating the bottom.
  4. Carefully place the sandwich in the skillet and grill until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the sandwich from the skillet, cut in half, and serve warm.

Notes

For a crispier exterior, use a blend of butter and olive oil. Feel free to customize with different breads or vegetables.
