Instructions

- Add the maple syrup and egg to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.

- Fold in the chopped pecans to ensure even distribution.
- Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
