Instructions
- Wash and trim the green beans. Start by rinsing your fresh green beans under cool water, then trim off the tips.
- Prepare the pressure canner according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Pack the green beans into sterilized jars, leaving about an inch of headspace.
- Add 1 teaspoon of salt to each jar if desired.
- Fill jars with boiling water, maintaining the headspace.
- Wipe the rims of the jars clean and place the lids on securely.
- Process the jars in the pressure canner at the recommended pressure for the appropriate time.
- Once done, allow the canner to release pressure naturally.
- Remove jars and let them cool completely before storing.
