Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons strawberry juice or milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and milk in another bowl.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just blended and fold in the chopped strawberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with strawberry juice or milk until smooth.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the bread once it’s cooled slightly.
