Description

A quick and flavorful recipe for tender oven-roasted mushrooms coated in a sweet and savory soy sauce and honey glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz (450g) fresh whole mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or cilantro) for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and trim the stems if necessary.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Toss the cleaned mushrooms in the sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the coated mushrooms on a baking sheet and roast for about 20 minutes, tossing halfway through, until tender and golden.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the mushrooms marinate for a few hours or overnight. Feel free to swap honey for maple syrup for a different sweetness.
