Description
A creamy, crunchy medley of broccoli, crispy turkey bacon, and sweet cranberries, perfect for potlucks or family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups fresh broccoli florets (cut into small, bite-sized pieces)
- 6 slices crispy turkey bacon (cooked and chopped)
- 1 cup sweet dried cranberries
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- ½ cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons vinegar (apple cider or white wine vinegar)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
- Cook the turkey bacon until it’s crispy and then chop it into bite-sized pieces.
- Cut the fresh broccoli into small florets. If you prefer a softer texture, consider blanching them briefly in boiling water—just a minute or two will do!
- Combine the chopped broccoli, crispy turkey bacon, dried cranberries, shredded cheese, and sunflower seeds in a large bowl.
- Mix together the dressing ingredients thoroughly until smooth and creamy in a separate bowl.
- Pour the creamy dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to combine.
- Serve the salad chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
This salad tastes even better after sitting for a bit, so consider making it a few hours or even a day in advance. Just hold off on adding the sunflower seeds until serving to keep them crunchy!
