Description

A creamy, crunchy medley of broccoli, crispy turkey bacon, and sweet cranberries, perfect for potlucks or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh broccoli florets (cut into small, bite-sized pieces)
  • 6 slices crispy turkey bacon (cooked and chopped)
  • 1 cup sweet dried cranberries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar (apple cider or white wine vinegar)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon until it’s crispy and then chop it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cut the fresh broccoli into small florets. If you prefer a softer texture, consider blanching them briefly in boiling water—just a minute or two will do!
  3. Combine the chopped broccoli, crispy turkey bacon, dried cranberries, shredded cheese, and sunflower seeds in a large bowl.
  4. Mix together the dressing ingredients thoroughly until smooth and creamy in a separate bowl.
  5. Pour the creamy dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to combine.
  6. Serve the salad chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

This salad tastes even better after sitting for a bit, so consider making it a few hours or even a day in advance. Just hold off on adding the sunflower seeds until serving to keep them crunchy!
