Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
- Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, mixing well to combine.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips if using.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are slightly soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
