Description
Crispy eggrolls filled with creamy cheese, smoky turkey bacon, and zesty jalapeños.
Ingredients
Scale
- 10 eggroll wrappers
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine the softened cream cheese, chopped turkey bacon, diced jalapeños, and shredded cheddar cheese in a large bowl. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of the mixture in the center of each eggroll wrapper, creating a delightful little mound.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with water; this will help seal the eggrolls tightly. Fold the wrapper over the filling, ensuring every delicious bit is enclosed.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. The oil should be hot enough that a small piece of bread would sizzle immediately upon contact.
- Fry the eggrolls until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove and drain the eggrolls on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve them warm alongside your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Make-Ahead Magic: You can prepare the filling in advance and store it in the refrigerator for a couple of days. For optimal crispiness, reheat leftover eggrolls in an oven instead of a microwave.
