Description

A comforting and quick weeknight dinner made with honey, garlic, and chicken, perfect for busy families.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Chicken pieces (thighs or breasts work best)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2–3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Cooked boiled rice for serving
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Mix together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl until well combined.
  3. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the browned chicken. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  4. Serve generously over bowls of fluffy boiled rice.

Notes

For a zesty kick, add lime juice or toss in some steamed vegetables during cooking. This dish can be made ahead by marinating the chicken for deeper flavor.
