- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Add the softened butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until crumbly.
- Reserve 1 cup of the crumb mixture for topping.
- Press the remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Spread the sliced strawberries over the crust.
- Shower the strawberries with the reserved crumb mixture.
- Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
