Description

A cozy and delicious banana bread that captures the warmth of home and the famous Starbucks treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Stir in the flour until just combined. Fold in the walnuts if using.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

This banana bread freezes wonderfully! Store slices in an airtight container for up to three months.
