- 3/4 cup sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and roll them in sugar.
- Place the dough balls onto ungreased baking pans and flatten each with a glass.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden but soft in the center.
- Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks.
