Description

A comforting recipe for Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes, perfect for cozy evenings with loved ones.


Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 6 slices yellow cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat, allowing it to get nice and hot.
  2. Place the ground beef in the pan, seasoning it generously with salt and pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon until it’s beautifully browned.
  3. Transfer the beef to the slow cooker; it’s okay if it’s not fully cooked.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, prepared mustard, smoked paprika, and a pinch more salt and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir everything together until well combined.
  5. Cover and cook on HIGH for 180 minutes or LOW for 360 minutes.
  6. Spoon the mixture onto the hamburger buns and top with a slice of cheese before serving.
