Description

A comforting and creamy slow cooker chicken dish infused with the delightful flavors of basil and garlic, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in the slow cooker, then add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and sprinkle them generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Pour the crushed tomatoes over the chicken.
  4. Add in the heavy cream and dried basil. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  6. When it’s time to serve, ladle the creamy sauce over rice or pasta, garnishing with fresh basil if desired.
