Description

These Pineapple Cowboy Candy Chicken Wings feature a sweet and spicy marinade that melds tropical pineapple with a kick from jalapeños, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. Place the cleaned wings into a large mixing bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the pineapple juice, brown sugar, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  5. Whisk until the brown sugar is dissolved and mixed well.
  6. Pour the marinade over the chicken wings and toss gently.
  7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top, greasing it with olive oil.
  9. Remove the wings from the marinade and arrange them in a single layer on the rack.
  10. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  11. Halfway through, brush the wings with reserved marinade.
  12. Switch to broil for the last 3-5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  13. Let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving warm.
