Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings or crushed Oreos for topping
  • Extra whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Begin by crushing the Oreo cookies in a plastic bag or food processor until they resemble fine crumbs.
  2. Mix the crushed cookies with the melted butter until they’re well combined.
  3. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie dish to form a dense, crunchy crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped cream or Cool Whip along with the vanilla extract until combined.
  6. Pour the pudding mixture over your prepared Oreo crust, spreading it smoothly.
  7. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
  8. Just before serving, sprinkle with chocolate shavings or crushed Oreos and add extra whipped cream.

Notes

Make-ahead magic allows this pie to be prepared a day in advance. For clean slices, run your knife under warm water before cutting.
