Description

A simple, creamy homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream made with just 7 ingredients, perfect for warm days and nostalgic memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract (adjust to taste)
  • Few drops of green food coloring (optional)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and salt. If using, add the green food coloring for that classic minty hue.
  2. Whip it up: Using an electric mixer, whip the mixture on medium speed until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the chocolate chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  4. Transfer to container: Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Freeze: Cover the container and place it in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours, or until firm.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones, and enjoy each velvety bite!
