Description

Quick and easy Mediterranean mini lahmacun bites topped with a creamy yogurt drizzle, perfect for parties or weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground beef or lamb
  • ½ onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, grated
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mini pita or flatbreads
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, finely chopped onion, grated tomato, chopped parsley, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Spread a generous portion of the meat mixture on each mini pita or flatbread.
  4. Bake in the oven for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the meat is cooked through.
  5. While the bites are baking, mix together the yogurt, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  6. Once the lahmacun bites are out of the oven, drizzle the garlicky yogurt over the warm bites and serve immediately.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, swap the meat with finely chopped mushrooms, bell peppers, and zucchini. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
