Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C) and line a baking pan with baking paper.
- Combine the almond flour, xanthan gum, salt, granulated sugar substitute, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
- Melt the butter over low heat and add the vanilla extract, stirring gently.
- Fold the melted butter mixture into the flour mixture, stirring for 2-3 minutes until a soft dough forms.
- Allow the dough to cool to room temperature, then mix in the egg until it becomes elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes to enhance its texture.
- Shape the dough into small balls, roughly the size of a tablespoon, and place them on the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 390°F, then lower the temperature to 355°F and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until they turn a lovely golden color.
- Whisk together the powdered low-carb sugar substitute, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and water for the glaze until thick but pourable.
- Roll the warm donut balls in the glaze and serve immediately for a delightful treat!
