Ingredients

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of full-fat coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Start by making a simple syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the water and sugar, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Once dissolved, add the unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, mixing well until smooth and shiny. Allow it to simmer for a couple of minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool down completely.
  4. Once cool, whisk in the full-fat coconut milk.
  5. Pour your mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, typically taking about 20-30 minutes.
  6. After churning, pour the chocolate sorbet into an airtight container and freeze for at least 120 minutes, or until firm.
  7. Serve in bowls or cones, topped with your favorite nuts or fruits if desired.
