- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup mini marshmallows (or regular, chopped)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until fully combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
- Drop amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are set.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired!
Notes
This cookie dough can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Leftover cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a week.
