Description

A refreshing and colorful fruit salad with a creamy sour cream and orange gelatin dressing, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 30-oz can fruit cocktail in juice
  • 1 20-oz can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 1 8-oz can mandarin orange slices, drained
  • 1 10-oz bag mini marshmallows
  • 1 24-oz container of sour cream
  • 1 box orange-flavored gelatin

Instructions

  1. Begin by pouring all the fruit cocktail, pineapple chunks, and mandarin orange slices into a colander placed over the sink. Allow the juices to drain thoroughly to ensure your salad isn’t too watery. Let it sit for about four hours.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and orange jello powder. Stir gently until fully incorporated into a creamy dream.
  3. Add the drained fruit and mini marshmallows into the bowl. Gently stir to coat everything evenly with the luscious mixture.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour. For even better flavor, let it sit for four hours or overnight, allowing the flavors to mingle and deepen.
  5. Before serving, give it a gentle stir to ensure everything is well mixed, and serve chilled to your guests.

Notes

This salad is perfect for preparing a day in advance. It tastes even better the longer it chills in the refrigerator!
