Description

A cozy, comforting twist on classic sloppy joes featuring savory ground beef, caramelized onions, and creamy Swiss cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes until it thickens.
  4. Serve the mixture on the hamburger buns and top with a slice of Swiss cheese.
  5. Allow the cheese to melt slightly, then enjoy!
