Description

Deliciously moist and easy-to-make cupcakes perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (or buttermilk for extra richness)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 2 cups of your favorite frosting or toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your cupcake tin with paper liners or grease it lightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Prepare your frosting or toppings while cooling, then decorate as desired.

Notes

For different flavors, you can swap vanilla with almond extract or add cocoa powder for chocolate cupcakes.
