Description

A quick and easy side dish featuring crispy roasted green beans topped with garlic and Parmesan.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the green beans under cold water, trim the ends, and pat dry.
  3. In a large bowl, combine green beans, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the green beans in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 15-20 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle grated Parmesan over the hot beans. Toss gently.
  7. If desired, drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Leftover roasted green beans can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
