Description

Tender salmon morsels coated in a crunchy panko crust, paired with a zesty Bang Bang sauce, perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for the beaten eggs, and one for the panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each salmon piece in flour, dip into the egg wash, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the salmon bites for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the Bang Bang sauce.
  7. Toss the crispy salmon bites in the Bang Bang sauce and serve hot.

Notes

Can be made ahead; fry right before serving for best texture. For a lighter option, bake instead of frying.
