Description

Delightful twisted treats made from croissant dough, filled with your favorite filling and rolled in cinnamon sugar, perfect for cozy moments.


Ingredients

  • 1 package croissant dough
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • Filling of choice (e.g., Nutella, pastry cream)
  • Oil for frying (if frying)
  • Flour for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
  2. Roll out the croissant dough and cut it into squares, each about four inches wide.
  3. Place a small amount of filling in the center of each square; don’t overfill or it might ooze out.
  4. Carefully fold the dough into a muffin shape, pinching the edges to seal the filling inside.
  5. For baked cruffins, place them in a greased muffin tin and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  6. For fried cruffins, heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C) and fry each cruffin for about 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy and golden.
