- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted

- 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Combine 1 cup of flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk together milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the cherries gently.
- Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Mix brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, softened butter, and cinnamon to create the streusel topping.
- Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the batter in each muffin cup.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a zesty twist, add lemon or lime zest. Substitute cherries with other berries or stone fruits as desired.
