Description

Delightful tarts filled with sweet caramelized onions and rich goat cheese, perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until golden-brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares. Place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Spoon the caramelized onions onto each pastry square, then sprinkle with crumbled goat cheese.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and flaky. Garnish with fresh thyme before serving, if desired.

Notes

You can prepare the caramelized onions in advance and store them in the fridge. Reheat and bake the tarts just before serving for best results.
