Instructions
- Whisk together the brown sugar, water, and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat until smooth.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and fold in the vanilla extract and kosher salt, stirring until well blended.
- Allow the syrup to cool in the saucepan, whisking occasionally to eliminate clumps.
- Transfer the cooled syrup to a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid and store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
Notes
Whisk continuously while simmering for a silky-smooth syrup; clumps will dissolve with continued whisking. Package in festive jars for gifts.
