Description

A comforting and effortless Butterball turkey breast roast, perfect for weeknight dinners or holiday gatherings, made tender and flavorful in a Crock Pot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Butterball turkey breast roast (39 lbs), thawed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or nonstick spray
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Herbs and spices (thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, paprika), to taste
  • 1/2 cup broth, juice, or water

Instructions

  1. Start by patting your turkey breast dry with paper towels. If your roast is boneless, feel free to leave the netting on.
  2. Lightly spray or brush the turkey with olive oil, then rub it with salt, pepper, and your choice of herbs and spices.
  3. Place the turkey breast skin-side up in your slow cooker and pour in ½ cup of broth, juice, or water.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for about 4 hours, checking the internal temperature.
  5. Once it reaches approximately 140°F, continue cooking until it reaches a safe 165°F.
  6. Remove the turkey from the cooker, tent with foil, and let it rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

You can prep the turkey a day ahead for easy reheating. Use leftovers creatively in salads or sandwiches.
