Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (167g) salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (123g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (115g) granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (304g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (200g) favorite chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy—about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add in the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in your favorite chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop out the dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon portions and arrange on your cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350° F for 8-10 minutes until golden brown on the edges.
  8. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
