- 6 cups bread, cubed
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the cubed bread and milk in a large bowl and let it soak for about 10 minutes.
- Whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture over the soaked bread and mix well. If using raisins, fold them in now.
- Spread the mixture evenly into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
